WE had a nice guest today! Steve & Cheryl Greenman came by with some much needed supplies! A vacuum cleaner being high on the list along with a 5 gallon drum of Desitin, paper towels, toilet paper and my toothbrush charger!!!. We are very Thankful!
They had a 20 minute movie clip about the Tetons so we went to that and then came to camp for cocktails and dinner. The weather was incredible today too! Clear Sky and nice temp.
Lillybean was in her glory today too. She went swimming in Jackson Lake 3 times today.
Everyone was truly able to relax today. What a nice change of pace!
Tomorrow it is back on task!! Pack Up, Gas up, lunch, water stop, find camp, dinner, dishes and repeat until we hit Minnesota.
Thanks everyone for all of your great comments it is fun to read at the end of each day.
Bye for now!
Roe's son is now going to post a few comments too!
It's been a pleasure riding with the guys and hanging out today. Spirits are high and everyone seems to be getting along well. Julie has been feeding everyone very well and the meal process seems to be a well oiled machine. They boys are passing over the Continental Divide tomorrow so I've told them it's all downstream from here - NOT necessarily downhill! I'm very impressed with what they've riden thus far and I can't even imagine riding what they have left but they are all looking forward to the rest of the trip. Continue your best wishes to the boys and follow the trip online.

Have another wonderful day of riding today, guys!! I'm sure it was nice to have a day off. Thanks for keeping your blog updated. It's so fun for everyone to be able to follow your journey! I am amazed by all of your dedication!
ReplyDeleteKayaking on your rest day...?! - wow! You guys are supermen..
ReplyDeleteOk, my turn (actually it's not my turn, but plese indulge me..) to tell a travel story.. ..Janet and I rented a motorhome for our honeymoon last month and liked it so much we went out and bought a used one, 1998 Itasca 22' Spirit, we love it... ..leaving tonight for Kansas City - her grandaughter is singing the National Anthem at the Kansas City Chief's preseason game Friday night - I think it's nationally televised on Fox... going to take the tandem...
We'll bring the motorhome to Wabasha...!
It is great to hear the day off was enjoyed by all. I hope your days goes well and the weather is a clear sky and a nice tail wind for you.
ReplyDeleteNice work everyone! It is really fun to get to follow along. Say, when you pass through Gillette, WY could you pick up a sock I think I left at the local inn? Safe travels and tailwinds!
ReplyDeleteKeep on truckin' gentlemen! We're all rootin' for you!
ReplyDeleteCheers.

Hi Guys! I'm Sheryl from LeRoy. AKA Sheryl Bike Taylor on Facebook. I'm also riding across the USA from east to west (DC to San Fran). Congratulations on your mileage and good weather. I've been lucky and getting tailwinds through Nebraska, Kansas and eastern Colorado. I'm currently in Denver. I wish our paths crossed. Have fun! Maybe I'll catch ya next summer when I'm back in Austin for a family visit.

You have no idea the joy I get from reading the blog!!! I didn't take the time to comment because I really thought you guys had too much on your plate already but here goes.............
ReplyDeleteWhat an accomplishment by a great team of people. Your determination and dedication to each other and to all of us 'riding' along with you will never be surpassed. Keep up the good work. I wish we could have been in Oregon when you started this journey. We happen to be in Seattle at the time but had other commitments or we would have been there cheering you on (along with some of my relatives). Godspeed.
The ongoing photos are fabulous and the descriptions of the terrain and your experiences are enjoyable to read. A saloon attached to a 4 bedroom motel without windows...sounds like the basis for a steamy novel. Take care; we wish you safe travels. Rose and John Worlein
