day 27

Rest day at Niagara Falls Canada.  We decided to stay two nights at the Niagara Falls KOA.  Today we had a leisurely breakfast of blueberry pancakes and relaxed in the morning.  We then took a bus to town to visit the falls.  We enjoyed the falls last night with the lights but the daytime viewing of course was spectacular.  Some of us even got a nap in in the afternoon.  In the evening four of us went to a dinner theater next door and saw a performance of OH CANADA.  It was a musical with a cast of six excellent singers.  A little hokey for my taste but the music was enjoyable.  Again, the rest day was nice but we're ready to hit the road again.

  1. Haven't checked in on you all for a few days. Looks like good times with family and friends. I can almost see Dick's tuck and roll and the applause that followed. You almost made it to the east coast in time for hurricane Irene. Glad you are enjoying the falls.

  2. Glad you have enjoyed the falls. Not far to the east coast now...I am asking Irene to leave you all alone and move out to sea. Sounds a bit better today ... A month is nearly here and I can hardly believe it has been that long since the day we saw you all off in Austin. My what a feat for all...Look forward to your safe return to Austin. The town awaits you....Mom (Fox)

  3. I'm thinking Terry wrote this comment! Was the play as good as the one we saw in Dawson Creek where the singers dropped down through a hole in the center of the little round theater??? Don't get too much culture under your belt....haha.
