Day 13

Well we have survived another day 125 miles from Casper to Gillette WY. Pretty bare land & not much to look at other than antelope,I think we saw close to a 1000 of them & a couple of coyotes so that kept us some what entertained. Last night Roe & I tented in a fenced in area so we thought we were in a cattle lot. Tonight we are in a Hampton Inn so it is pretty nice.
For those that are following along with us and are unaware of the Garmin Connect give it a try & you can see all of the details of the ride, distance, speeds, elevation, etc. On the right side of the site just below the picture of Dave & Dick there is a GPS name & below that is a user name  (terry fox) & password (coasters). You just click on the garmin connect & it takes you to the Garmin web site. Once there it asks you for the user name & password, which is above, so enter that & than it will ask you if you want to be remembered & if you click yes than you will not have to do that again. Once in the site it gives you a summary of the day. Than you can click the individual day or any day you want to look at & it will give you all kinds of details which is kind of fun to look at.
Well that is it for now so thanks again for all of the comments & for those of you that are following.

  6. congrats and keep up the good work to you all! dad says he would have joined you for the ride, but there wasn't enough stuff for him to blindly bike into out on the open road. he'll stick to the street signs, trees and invisible obstacles around town. hope andy g. didn't slow you all down too much!

"Pull a hammy" (isn't that the biking equivalent to "break a leg" for stage performers?),

  7. Still enjoy following your adventures and love the pictures. Several of my coworkers often ask how everything is going, so it is nice to have so much information to pass along. Everyone is very impressed with your goals and we all love following along... Scenery should improve a little again and all the added company will be fun!

Julie - kudos to you for all your work as well! The route seems to be working out well (and you are all still on schedule). It is great that you can meet them for lunch and I know how they must appreciate the food and drinks as they pull in at the end of the day. Sounds like the timing all seems to work out well, and that is no easy task!

Keep those smiles and have fun!

  14. Jerry, Terry and bikers we enjoy checking in on how things are going. What you guys are doing is amazing and you have seen some unbelievable scenery. We check in on the blog daily and what you guys are doing is amazing. Keep it up and we will continue to follow your journey. (Oh and Jerry I was in CO this last week and hooked up a couple of good racquet ball games at a club in Denver - the ball bounces more and it is harder to catch your breath with the altitude change. Can't wait till we can play again) Derek and Corrine

  17. Well done guys. Grandpa Schindler, we really enjoyed time with your family, back in New Zealand with family now. As I was reading today's blog I was reminded of Rebekah's and mine trip through that area 2 weeks ago. We didn't see many antelope but did hit a beaut of a hail storm. Glad you missed that! God Bless from down under.
